Our mission statement: It is the purpose of the River Ganga Foundation to gratefully and reverently serve as a living offering to broaden the availability of the teaching and practice of self-inquiry according to Sri Ramana Maharshi, which starts with the recognition that the cause of all human misery is a false belief about our nature, and ends in the direct, unmediated and conscious experience of the truth. Since 1999, John meets with people who are deeply called to investigate, for themselves, the simple truth of their being. In these meetings, John sheds a powerful light onto Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings, and guides those who come to see him into deeper skillfulness and fulfillment in their own investigation. John shows you how to use your own inherent intelligence and innocent curiosity to see directly, in this moment, the naked reality of what you are. In these meetings, John speaks from his experience, listens to reports, and answers questions. Meetings with John are always free of charge. All are welcome, with no regard for religious and spiritual beliefs and practices. Spontaneous donations for the support of our work are always welcome and gratefully accepted. Our work is to teach Ramana Maharshi's insight and method of self-inquiry to all who will receive it. Ramana's insight is that the only problem anywhere to be found is the false belief that you are your life, and the only solution is the truth, which is everywhere and always present and self-evident. Ridding oneself of the false is as easy as repeatedly tasting the truth of being here, unmovingly, unchangingly here. This repeated looking directly at oneself is Ramana's infallible method of self-inquiry. Although our meetings are free of charge, they are certainly not free of cost. The money needed for this work must come entirely from the generosity and compassion of those who, like us, have seen for themselves the immense worth of spreading this good news to all humanity. Please help provide financial support for the work of making Ramana's method of Self Inquiry more widely available in the world by making a donation or a monthly pledge in any amount now.
