A Meeting in Santa Monica, California - July 22, 2007

Whether you've been with me before, or have not been with me before, what I have to say and what I have to offer is so simple and takes so little to say, that I'm going to say it, and then I'm probably going to talk for quite a while about it.

What I come to speak about is the method of self-inquiry that, so far as I can tell, first appeared in this world from Ramana Maharshi. Self-inquiry itself has been around for a long, long time. I'm saying this because, although self-inquiry itself has been around for a long, long time, Ramana Maharshi took what was the practice of self-inquiry and turned it on its head. Ramana Maharshi's offering of self-inquiry is actually a radical departure from anything that has come before.
