John Sherman's Schedule for March 2010 |
John Sherman offers guidance in the practice of vichara (self-inquiry), and encourages people to seek only the simple truth of their actual nature. All are welcome, with no regard for religious and spiritual beliefs or practices.
All our events and meetings are always free of charge. Our work is entirely supported by donations. Spontaneous donations to support our work are always welcome and very much appreciated.
RiverGanga Foundation is a not-for-profit, 509(a)(2) public charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

| March 13 - Worldwide Online Meeting with John Sherman |
Saturday, March 13 at 1 pm PT (GMT/UTC -8).
People all over the world meet with John online for a couple of hours.

| March 21 - An Afternoon with John Sherman in Ojai, California |
Sunday, March 21 from 1 pm to 5:30 pm.
We will meet at the Ojai Retreat, located on top of a hill, with beautiful views of the Ojai Valley.
There will be two meetings with John. Check-in begins at 12:30 pm and we start by sitting quietly together for a few minutes. The first meeting begins at 1 pm, followed by a short break. The second meeting starts at 3 pm. The program ends around 5:30 pm.
This is a full afternoon event. Participants are expected to attend both meetings.

| Five-Day Online Intensive with John Sherman |
| Monday through Friday, April 12-16 at 1 pm PDT (UTC/GMT -7)
Meetings will last approximately 2 hours.
Location: Online
Meeting with a small group of people over a five-day period, John will be available to listen to your questions and to help you sort out any difficulties you might experience in your own practice of vichara (self-inquiry).
The group will be limited to 15 people.

This retreat is a great opportunity to meet with John Sherman in a very
intimate and intense way, in a very relaxed and nourishing atmosphere.
Meeting with John Sherman at least twice a day provides
a supportive environment for a more intense and deeper exploration of
the meeting with yourself, a space where you can be totally immersed in
the experience of looking at you.
The Ojai Retreat is a haven of beauty and tranquility nestled on a five-acre hilltop located five minutes from downtown Ojai and 20 minutes from Ventura and the Pacific Ocean.
This event is free of charge. Registration is required. There are a limited number of spaces available.
Participants must arrange for their own accommodations and meals during the retreat.

Open House Meeting - February 10, 2010 |
| What I speak about as "fear" is a much smaller thing than you would think and it does not even need to be called "fear." It is a sense of endangerment that arises with the appearance of self-consciousness. It is extremely subtle and it fixes the point of view from which we relate to the unfolding of the life — until that point of view is eradicated. What eradicates it is the inquiry, the noticing of oneself.
